How many of us have used this phrase?
"Good enough."
Often, we use this phrase to say that a job isn't 100% done or exactly what we wanted, but it’s good enough.
Typically, because we don’t want to do any more or pay any more.
But 2 questions to ponder.
Do we ever have this approach in our service and faithfulness to God?
Am I doing the best I can do? Eh, just good enough.
Are we ever really happy with just good enough? Not really.
It’s a matter of settling for a lower standard.
And why would we settle for less?
Too busy? Too tired? Too costly? More important priorities?
Second question: What if God had this same approach?
What if Jesus only died for most of our sins, and God said that’s good enough?
Or if God only met some of our needs?
But praise God, He doesn’t!
But rather, instead, He actually desires an abundant life for us!
John 10:10
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
We know God offers an abundant life. The question is, are we settling for just GOOD ENOUGH?
